<br />UNAPPROVED <br />CITY OF BLAINE <br />ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING NO. 99-39 <br />Thursday, June 24,1999 <br /> <br />7:30 P.M. <br />Council Chambers <br />9150 Central Avenue NE <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Ryan followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the <br />Roll Call. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Councilmembers Clark, Daniels, Kolb, Rose, Swanson, Mayor Ryan, City Manager Roger <br />Fraser, and City Attorney Thomas Sweeney. <br /> <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Varian <br /> <br />Quorum present. <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Terry Dussault, Director of Management Services; Ron Henrickson, Community <br />Development Director; Dave Johnson, Chief of Police; Chuck Lenthe, City Engineer; Jim Peterson, Park and <br />Recreation Director; Roark Haver, Administrative Assistant; Joyce Twistol, City Clerk, and Carla Wirth, <br />~ecording Secretary. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Workshop Meeting - June 3,1999 <br />- Regular Meeting - June 3, 1999 <br /> <br />Action 99-313 <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Swanson, seconded by Councilmember Rose, that the minutes of the Workshop <br />Meeting of June 3, 1999, and the minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 3, 1999, be approved as <br />submitted. <br /> <br />Motion adopted unanimously. <br /> <br />AWARDS. PRESENTATIONS. ORGANIZATIONAL BUSINESS <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />(AI 6.1) <br /> <br />Councilmember Daniels reported that North Gable Senior Housing was moving forward and named a <br />construction board to function until residents occupy the housing. She named those serving on this board <br />nd estimated HUD approval will be accomplished in three weeks with ground breaking by the end of <br />September. <br />
