We just moved here to Centerville in the new Parkview
Development. We considered many area's to build, one of our concerns was to move to a
oo:mmunity that was close to the suburbs yet still had small town charm and allowed
snowmobiles. We had not owned snowmobiles in years and after moving to Centerville
purchased two without a trailer and to have to trailer our sno\\mobiles nat much more
than a half mile to the lake would be sad. Ccnterville is not very big and it seems that the
lakes are not far away from anyones home. It has been and unusual small amount of snow
this year and I would agree that snowmobiles do 110t need to nnt on residence front lawns.

What Centerville does need is easy access to the lakes and trails. And for the few that
cannot stay on the roadway for half a mile to get to the lake they should be ticketed. The
way I see it we: are a very small community .and we can control this. Our larger
neighboring Anoka Count), communities can. We should not be compared to Ramsey
County.

We all pay taxes and the new residence to Centerville have paid higher priced building
permits than our neighborinQ A.'1oka County communities and many folks that move to
Centerville move here for the san\e reasons as we have.

We just feel that this can be worked out \\'ithout banning snowmobiles from the roadway
to access the lake and trails. What may be helpful is to make a designated trail across
Lamont Park to help access the lake to the residents on the south side of ~ain Street.. We
feel infact in our own Parkview area I know of only a few that have snowmobiles and
banning it would impact those that would or may get involved in snowmobiling. We feel
snowmobHing is a good thing for the community, it just needs to be respected by
everybody.

Sincerely~ Matt and Kim Dunn
