February 24, 2000

Mr. Jim March
City Administrator
City of Centerville
1880 Main Street
Centerville, MN 55038

Dear Mr. March:

In response to the current internal posting for the position of ClerkfTreasurer, I have
enclosed my resume and completed application for your review and consideration. I
believe you will find that I am well qualified for the position.

As you are aware, I am currently employed with the City in the capacity of Deputy
ClerkfTreasurer and have routinely demonstrated my work ethic, organizational skills,
ability to learn quickly, community emphasis, and knowledge.

My experience with a variety of duties and responsibilities involving municipal and
private sector administration, along with accuracy, and good communication skills will
ensure you that I can continue to make a valuable contribution to the City in the
capacity of ClerkfTreasurer.

I understand the commitment and responsibilities involved with the position of
Clerkffreasurer and I am eager to have the opportunity to expand my horizons.
However, my utmost commitment is to my family and I greatly value the time that I
spend with them. I can not provrde the City with attendance of evening meetings and
note taking on a regular basis (three or more meetings per month). My employment in
the capacity of ClerkfTreasurer would be subject to the understanding that evening
meeting attendance would be "fill in" only, with at'least 24 hours notice.

I would like to thank you in advance for your time, consideration, appreciation of my
commitment to family and look forward to the opportunity of serving as ClerkfTreasurer.

Sincerely,

(~~~

Teresa D.
