<br />hazardous to or in any way jeopardize the health, safety or welfare of <br />neighbors and neighboring property shall not be permitted. <br /> <br />Division 40: Single-Family Dwelling Requirements <br /> <br />All Single-family, detached dwellings shall be constructed according to the following <br />minimum standards: . <br /> <br />A. All dwellings shall have a minimum width of twenty-four (24) feet at <br />its narrowest point, with the exception of the M-1 District; and <br /> <br />B. Metal siding, with exposed panels exceeding twelve (12) inches in <br />width, shall not be permitted; and <br /> <br />B. All Single-family, detached dwellings shall have attached garages. <br />Garages may not be converted to habitable space without replacing <br />the required garage; and <br /> <br />C. Single-family dwellings other than approved earth sheltered homes <br />shall have at least a 3/12 roof pitch and shall be covered with an <br />approved roofing material; and <br /> <br />E. All Single-family dwellings shall have roof overhangs which extend a <br />minimum of one (1) foot from all the walls of the structure. <br /> <br />Division 45: Temporary Dwellings and Structures <br /> <br />The use and occupancy of a tent, recreation vehicle or other temporary dwellings for the <br />purpose of living quarters is not permitted in the City, except as approved by the City <br />Council under special circumstances. <br /> <br />Temporary structures and trailers used in conjunction with construction work shall be <br />permitted only during the period that the construction work is in progress. Permits for <br />temporary structures shall be issued for a six (6) month period, but are subject to the <br />Minnesota State Building Code. <br /> <br />Division 50: Driveway and Parking Lot Improvements <br /> <br />All required ingress/egress points, driveways and parking areas shall be paved with <br />asphalt, concrete, pavers, cobblestone or similar material according to minimum City <br />specifications, excluding R-1 Districts. Driveways may not exceed a ttiirty (30) foot width at <br />the streetline. <br /> <br />Page 180[65 <br />
