<br />B. The following signs are permitted in the Commercial and Industrial <br />Districts: <br /> <br />1. Wall Signs: Wall signs are permitted on each <br />public street exposure or public parking exposure <br />provided said signage does not exceed ten <br />percent (10%) of said wall area; and <br /> <br />2. Free Standing Signs: One (1) free standing <br />sign per street frontage provided, however, said <br />sign does not exceed eighty (80) square feet in <br />area and twenty (20) feet in height; and <br /> <br />3. Area Identification Signs: One (1) area <br />identification sign is permitted per street frontage <br />per commercial or industrial development <br />provided, however, said sign does not exceed <br />sixty-four (64) square feet in area and twenty <br />(20) feet in height, and is not placed within ten <br />(10) feet of any street right-of-way. <br /> <br />Division 115: Height <br /> <br />Section 115-010: Dwellings. No dwelling or other building may be erected to a height <br />exceeding thirty-five (35) feet without the issuance of a Special Use Permit. <br /> <br />Section 115-020: Excess Height on a Permit. Upon the securing of a Special Use <br />Permit any building may be erected to a height exceeding that specified for the <br />respective district providing: <br /> <br />A. The front, rear and side yards shall be increased one (1) foot for each <br />one (1) foot by which the building exceeds the height limit established <br />for such district; and <br /> <br />B. The structure is any of the following: television and radio towers, <br />church spires, belfries, monuments, tanks, water and fire towers, grain <br />elevators, stage towers and scenery lofts, cooling towers, ornamental <br />towers and spires, chimneys, elevator bulkheads, smokestacks <br />conveyors, flagpoles, silos, and air conditioning and heating units; and <br /> <br />C. No tower, gable, spire, or similar structure shall be used for sleeping <br />or eating quarters or for any commercial purpose except one (1) <br />incidental to the permitted uses of the main building. <br /> <br />Page 35 of 65 <br />
