Board <br />City of C-enterville <br />1880 Main Street <br />Centerville, MN 55038 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Peterson and Park Board. <br /> <br />Thank you for your support of the Centennial Soccer Club in 2006. After researching the available park sites <br />in the City of Centerville and reviewing our field needs. the Centennial Soccer Club is requesting the <br />following sites and times for 2007: <br /> <br />1. Lamont Park: two, @25 yard x 40 yard open spaces located east of the parking lot bounded by the <br />bike path; for U6 - U8 age group; the fields wiIl be used for games onIy; goals would be setup; 2 fields <br />would be laid out in a North - South orientation and periodic field striping will be done; Mondays - <br />Fridays from @4:00 pm to dusk; @ April 28th to June 301b. Centennial Soccer Club wiIl manage a <br />reservation system to assign teams to specific dates and times for games. <br /> <br />2. Lamont Park: one, @70 yard x 60 yard open spaces located south of the skate board park; for U II - <br />U12 age group; practices only; goals will be setup; the field would be laid out in an East - West <br />orientation; Mondays - Fridays from @3:00 pm to dusk and Saturdays and Sundays 8:00 am to dusk; @ <br />April I st to October 29th. Centennial Soccer Club will manage a reservation system to assign teams to <br />specific dates and times for practices. <br /> <br />As in the past., we additionally request that these areas be mowed on a regular basis (depending upon weather <br />conditions) to keep the grass at a length that does not interfere with the playing of soccer. <br /> <br />The Centennial Soccer Club greatly appreciates the City of Centerville, Park Board Members and Publis <br />Works Department Staffs consideration in allowing our club and players to use these fields during our <br />upcoming season for the world's number one sport., soccer. I would also like the opportunity to attend the <br />next Parks & Rec. meeting to introduce myself. discuss our request, and collaborate on future field <br />development.
