Centervi[[e, :M'N 55038 STATE OF MINNESOTA (651) 429-3232 · Pa:{(651) 429-8629 COUNTY OF ANOKA CITY OF CENTERVILLE RESOLUTION #06-XXX RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT TO RO-SO CONTRACTING, INC, TO PROVIDE DEMOLITION SERVICES AT THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 7071/7073 CENTERVILLE ROAD WHEREAS, the City of Centerville invited the public to respond to its proposal to contract for the demolition and related services of certain City-owned buildings located at 7071/7073 Centerville Road, Centerville, Minnesota. WHEREAS, the requested demolition work qualifies as providing an "improvement" as defined by Minnesota Statute Section 429.021, subdivision 1. WHEREAS, the value of the proposed demolition contract was estimated to possibly exceed $50,000.00. WHEREAS, an advertisement of the proposed demolition contract was duly published in the Quad Community Press newspaper on August 1, 2006 and advertised that sealed bid would be accepted by the City until 10:00 a.m. on August 18,2006. WHEREAS, the City did not receive any responsive bid proposals by the deadline of 10:00 a.m. on August 18, 2006. WHEREAS, after receiving no bids the City sought and received an estimated proposal to perform the demolition services from RO-SO Contracting, Inc., on August 23, 2006, in the amount of a base price of $54,500.00 plus optional work for an additional $13,000.00, or for a possible total amount of$67,500.00. WHEREAS, the City finds that the estimated proposal to perform demolition work from RO-SO Contracting, Inc., is a responsible and qualifying proposal which adequately fulfills the scope and requirements of the bid to provide demolition services for 7071/7073 Centerville Road as advertised by the City as closing on August 18,2006 at 10:00 a.m. - 1 -
