<br />City Council 2007-03-21, 7:30 p.m. <br />Minutes of Work Session <br /> <br />~@tl fMJ~~~ <br /> <br />Present were Mayor Mary Capra, Council members Michelle Lakso and Jeff Paar. Also <br />present were City Attorney Kurt Glaser, City Engineer Mark Statz and Administrator <br />Dallas Larson. Present from the Planning and Zoning Commission were Brian Hanson, <br />Ben Fehrenbacher, Mark Pangell, D. Love, and Tom Wood. Present from the Parks and <br />Recreation Committee were Suzanne Seeley, Linda Merkel, Kevin Amundsen, Darin <br />Mosher and Kevin Selander. Absent were Council Members Linda Broussard and Tom <br />Lee. <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Chairperson Brian Hanson introduced his Commission Members <br />and described the things that they have recently been working on. He noted that P&Z will <br />be taking a lead position in updating the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Suzanne Seeley, Chairperson of Parks and Recreation Committee introduced her <br />members and then described the things they have been working on. Projects include <br />updating equipment in the skate park, installing a new pavilion in Laurie LaMotte Park, <br />installing a pavilion and a number of other improvements at the new park located at 1601 <br />LaMotte, installing playground equipment in Tracie McBride Park, identifying trail and <br />sidewalk needs throughout the City and reviewing the Comprehensive Plan as it relates to <br />parks and recreation. <br /> <br />The Council Goals for 2007 were reviewed. Possible community signs were discussed as <br />was industrial and commercial development possibilities. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser discussed Ethics issues, Conflicts of Interest, Open Meeting Law <br />and Government Data Practices issues. <br /> <br />Everyone agreed that the joint meeting was helpful and should be at least an annual <br />occurrence. <br /> <br />Adjourned at approximately 8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Dallas Larson <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />/5 <br />
