I <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Parks and Recreation Committee Members <br /> <br />FROM: Kim Stephan <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Requesting Charitable Gambling Funds <br /> <br />DATE: July 1,2004 <br /> <br />Mr. Mark Larson, Dead Broke Saddle Club was recently in City Hall on business and inquired <br />as to why the Parks & Recreation Committee has not requested additional funds after receiving <br />a $500 donation in 2002 for bike racks. I included in your packet copies of the letters sent in <br />2002 to both Dead Broke Saddle Dub and the Spring Lake Park Lions. Both have given the <br />Parks & Recreation Committee donations in tbe past. Chairperson Peterson suggested the <br />committee may want to consider requesting funds for a project such as new skate park <br />equipment. <br />
