I <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Parks and Recreation Committee Members <br /> <br />FROM: Kim Stephan <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Park Dedication Fees for CommerciaJlIndustrial Development <br /> <br />DATE: July 1, 2004 <br /> <br />Parks & Recreation Committee Recommendation - Park Dedication Fees for Commercial/Industrial <br />Development (Resolution #04-031 <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated she would like to use $1,800 as the fee now; and then consider <br />raising it at the first of the year. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney indicated that a fee of $2, 175 would bring the City in line with the fees charged by <br />Lino Lakes. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Lee. seconded bv Council Member Capra to approve Resolution <br />#04-031 to approve the addition of Dark dedication fees for commercial and industrial <br />development in the amount of $2.175 per acre. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that she would like the fee to be $1,800 as she is concerned that high <br />fees could deter commercial development. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated that there is no commercial development pending and this is the Staff <br />recommendation. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney commented that the $2,175 is comparable to surrounding communities. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated that this is the Staff recommendation. <br /> <br />VOTE: AIl in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. <br />
