<br />Special Events & Field Trips <br /> <br /> <br />Letters from Santa <br />Santa would once again like to wish <br />all boys and girls a very happy holiday <br />from the North Pole. Let us know <br />whom in your family would like to hear <br />from Santa and we'll take it from <br />there! Simply complete a "Letters <br />from Santa" form for each person you <br />would like to receive a letter and <br />return, along with $1 (cash or check <br />only) for each letter sent, to the Lino <br />Lakes Parks and Recreation <br />Department, 600 Town Center <br />Parkway, Lino Lakes, MN 55014. <br />"Letters from Santa" forms may be <br />obtained on-line at www.ci.lino- <br />lakes.mn.us or in person at 600 <br />Town Center Parkway, Lino Lakes <br />during business hours (Monday - <br />Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.). Forms will <br />also be available in the winter edition <br />of the Recreation Review. <br /> <br />Secret Holiday Shop <br />December 13 & 14, 4 -7 p.m. <br />Location: Lino Lakes City Hall <br />The Secret Holiday Shop is coming! <br />This is the perfect opportunity for kids <br />to shop and buy something special <br />for their family and friends without <br />anyone knowing what they bought. <br />Volunteers assist shoppers <br />throughout their entire experience so <br />all gifts are surprises! Watch for <br />more information about the Secret <br />Holiday Shop in the winter edition of <br />the Recreation Review. <br /> <br />651-982-2440 <br /> <br />Field Trips <br /> <br />The following field trips are a cooperative programming effort between Uno <br />Lakes Parks and Recreation, Centennial Community Services and Blaine <br />Parks and Recreation. All trip fees include admission fees, transportation <br />and supervision (1:10 ratio). Spending money is not recommended. <br /> <br />Pumpkin Patch and Apple Orchard <br />Thursday, October 19 <br />Join us for our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. We will be heading out <br />to Afton Apple Orchard for a hayride, apple-picking, pumpkin patch, corn <br />maze, petting zoo, and mega playground! We will be returning to <br />Centennial Elementary School for Halloween themed crafts and games. <br />It is a day full of fun and adventure. Bring a bag lunch and dress for the <br />weather. Register by October 12. <br />Cost: $28 (includes apples, pumpkin, hayride, corn maze, and school <br />activities) <br /> <br /> <br />Zurah Shrine Circus - All Ages Trip! <br />Friday, October 20 <br />The circus is coming to town and everyone's invited <br />to join us for this special matinee performance! From <br />the moment the lights go down you'll thrill to the <br />finest in aerial tricks, performing elephants, tigers <br />and more. From the delightful antics of the Shriner <br />clowns to the spellbinding feats of the acrobats, you <br />won't want to miss one exciting moment of this <br />magical family show. MinIMax: 25/50. This trip is for children and adults of <br />all ages, but children younger than 1st grade need <br />to be accompanied by an adult. <br />Cost: $21 per person <br /> <br />Winter Break School's Out Camps <br />December 26, 27 and 28 <br />We've teamed up once again with the Shoreview and Blaine Parks and <br />Recreation Departments and Centennial Community Services to offer <br />three special days of fun activities over winter break. You'll spend the day <br />making friends while swimming at the Tropics Indoor Waterpark, playing <br />games, making crafts, watching a movie, and more.
