I will not be working with Chain of Lakes YMCA after April of this year. I am meeting with Lachelle
Williams this week to cover some of the things that I did last year and hope that she will be able to
keep them going or hire someone else to pick them up. I will let her know about the park programs
and the desire for Golden Lake to expand and pass on each of your contact iriformation. Is Centerville
interested in trying again at LaMotte Park?

Thank you to all of you and your communities for supporting the Chain of Lakes YMCA and our
programs. Thanks for allowing us to come into your communities and I hope that the relationship will
still be a good one with however Lachelle decides to handle things. Chain of Lakes is still progressing
and trying to program in assorted areas. I have mixed feeling about leaving, but I have chosen to
focus on my job at the Northwest YMCA for the time being. My responsibilities there increased during
the time that my responsibilities with Chain of Lakes decreased I have not counted Chain of Lakes
out, may come back, or try when the building is open! Good Luck and best wishes to all of you!

Sincerely Jen Smith

Correspondence with Ms. LaChelle Williams:

Jen Smith has worked with you and your team for a few years regarding the Summer Park
Play at the Laurie LaMotte Park. I would love to begin conversation and planning around
programming for this upcoming summer season. What will work best for you? Should I stop
by to talk about options? Do I need to provide anything to you to begin the conversation?
Let me know what will work for you and how to proceed. In the last season we had over 20
kids participating. It was only a 4 week program with the kids coming twice a week for two
hours. If you think it would work to do 2 - 4 week sessions, we sure can.

Thanks, LaChelle Williams, Executive Director Chain of Lakes YMCA

Ms. Williams is unable to attend the April 5, 2006 Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting
due to a prior commitment, but will submit a proposal for the committee to review.
