NW, ANDOVER, MINNESOTA 55304
(763) 862-4200 FAX (763) 862-4201

RECEIVED
Jut. 0 7 l005

07/0512005

Mr. Dallas Larson, City Manager
City of Centerville
1880 Main Street
Centerville, MN 55038

RE: CSAH 14 (MAIN ST) TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENTS

Dear Mr. Larson:

The County has been informed that the City of Centerville will submit a federal application for funds
to improve the transportation enhancements along CSAH 14 (Main St) from Lakeland Circle to
CSAH 21 (Centerville Rd) and CSAH 21 from CSAH 14 (Main St) to Heritage St. Anoka County is
the agency with jurisdiction on CSAH 14 and CSAH 21.

The County has been working with the City ofCenterville and surrounding communities to address
the need for roadway improvements to the CSAH 14 corridor. As part of the scheduled
improvements for CSAH 14 between 1-35E and 1-35W, this project will include trail connections and
sidewalks through the City of Centerville.

The proposed project will help enhance the overall quality of improvement to the CSAH 14 corridor.
. The County would support any transportation enhancements in respect to County policies and
guidelines to help improve the areas overall aesthetic, i.e. lighting, landscaping and scenic
beatification.

Therefore, Anoka County supports this proposed project for federal funding and supports the
application for funds during the current solicitation process. We believe this is an excellent
candidate for Transportation Enhancement funds and look forward to its inclusion in the program.

Sincerely,

Doug as W. Fischer, P.E.
Anoka County Engineer

.
