<br />City Council 2007-03-21, 7:30 p.m. <br />Minutes of Work Session <br /> <br />Present were Mayor Mary Capra, Council members Michelle Lakso and Jeff Paar. Absent <br />were Council members Linda Broussard and Tom Lee. Also present were City Attorney <br />Kurt Glaser, Engineer Mark Statz and Administrator Dallas Larson. Present from the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission were Brian Hanson, Ben Fehrenbacher, Mark Pangell, <br />D. Love, and Tom Wood. Absent were Bob Wright and Jennefer Klennert Hunt. Present <br />from the Parks and Recreation Committee were Suzanne Seeley, Linda Merkel, Kevin <br />Amundsen, Darin Mosher and Kevin Selander. Absent were Lori Harris and Carrie <br />Jakober. <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Chairperson Brian Hanson introduced his Commission members <br />and described the things that have recently been worked on by P&Z. He noted that P&Z <br />will be taking a lead position in updating the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Suzanne Seeley, Chairperson of Parks and Recreation Committee introduced her <br />members and then described the things the Committee is working on. Projects include <br />updating equipment in the skate park, installing a new pavilion in Laurie LaMotte Park, <br />installing a pavilion and a number of other improvements in the park land at 1601 <br />LaMotte, installing playground equipment in Tracie McBride Park, identifying trail and <br />sidewalk needs throughout the City and reviewing the Comp Plan as it relates to park and <br />recreation. <br /> <br />The Council Goals for 2007 were reviewed. Possible community signs were discussed as <br />was industrial and commercial development possibilities. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser discussed ethics issues, conflicts of interest, Open Meeting Law and <br />Government Data Practices issues. <br /> <br />Everyone agreed that the joint meeting was helpful and should be at least an annual <br />occurrence. <br /> <br />Adjourned at approximately 8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Dallas Larson <br />City Administrator <br />
