City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />March 14, 2007 <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Lee, to Approve <br />Resolution #07-010, Establishing Credit Card Use Policy. All in favor, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Adopting Resolution #07-011, Parking Restrictions on CSAH 14 <br /> <br />Council Member Lee recommended a motion be made to table this item as they are trying <br />to get the County to grant permission to use CSAH14 for the parade. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson would prefer it not be tabled as the County needs it for a state <br />aid packet. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked what is being taken away. <br /> <br />Discussion on parking and CSAH 14 ensued. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that Council is not prepared to commit to no parking at this time. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra read items 1-3 of the resolution resulting in additional discussion on <br />clarification on the wording. Mayor Capra requested that wording be included “on <br />CSAH 14 from Dupre Road to Mill Road – No Parking for eastbound side of roadway. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar, to Approve <br />Resolution #07-011, a Resolution Designating Parking Restrictions on Certain <br />Streets as discussed and amended. Ayes – 3, Nays – 2 (Council Members Paar and <br />Broussard) Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Parks & Recreation Committee Recommendation for a Pavilion at Laurie <br />LaMotte Memorial Park Not to Exceed $35,000 <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz reported that there are two bids for two separate pavilions; one at <br />Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park and the other at 1601 LaMotte Drive. He recommended <br />each be awarded to Flanagan Sales, Inc. for $24,969.97 for each pavilion. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee questioned the lead time offered by Flanagan Sales. <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz replied he put out a request for quotes with a number of <br />specifications to be met, one being that both pavilions be completed by July 20, 2007. <br />He stated both firms agreed. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee questioned whether there would be a penalty for not completing by <br />the July 20, 2007 date. <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz replied he would like the City to enter into a short-form contract with <br />the bidder to ensure performance and protect the City’s interest.
