<br />'. <br /> <br />Effective: 2/11/77 <br />City of Centerville Ord. #30 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #30 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO SANITARY SEWER. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville, Minnesota, does ordain: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. SEWER DEPARTMENT. <br /> <br />There is hereby established a Sewer Department for the City of Centerville. This sewer system <br />as now constituted, or as shall hereafter be enlarged or extended, shall be operated and <br />maintained under the provisions of this Ordinance subject to the authority of the City Council at <br />any time to amend, alter, change or repeal the same. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. MANAGEMENT. <br /> <br />The City Council shall have the charge and management of the sewer system subject to such <br />delegation of authority to the City Engineer, Sewer Superintendent and to other City employees <br />as the City Council shall provide. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. ADOPTION BY REFERANCE - MINNESOTA PLUMBING CODE. <br /> <br />The Minnesota Plumbing Code, identified as follows: "The Minnesota Plumbing Code, filed <br />with the Secretary of State and the Department of Administration, June, 1969, and latest <br />revisions", is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference as. an Ordinance of the City of <br />Centerville, and except as specifically stated herein, the Plumbing Inspector shall follow and <br />enforce the provisions of said Minnesota Plumbing Code, together with all amendments thereof. <br />Tv{o (2) One (1) official copies of said Minnesota Plumbing Code shall be marked and filed for <br />use and examination by the public in the office of the City ClcrkBuilding Official. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. DEFINITIONS. <br /> <br />. Building Drain: The building drain is that part of the lowest horizontal <br />piping of a building drainage system which receives the discharge from <br />other drainage pipes and which lies within the perimeter of the building. <br />. Building Sewer: The building sewer is that part of the building drainage <br />system that extends from the building drain to the sewer service line at the <br />property line. The building sewer shall convey the water liquid and water- <br />carried waste of but one building except under special application <br />approved by the City Engineer. <br /> <br />Page 1 of9 <br />
