<br />Section 419 - SINGLE FAMILY, RESIDENTIAL ESTATE (R-5) <br />(revised 5/24/04) <br /> <br />419.01 Purpose. The intended purpose of the R-5 is to provide for low density <br />traditional single family residential where public utilities are available and <br />required for service. The design and circulation of new residential areas are also <br />intended to be complementary with and enhance the community's small town <br />atmosphere. <br /> <br />419.02 Permitted Uses and Structures. <br /> <br />(a) Single-Family, detached dwellings. <br /> <br />(b) Accessory uses. <br /> <br />(c) Public Parks and Recreational Facilities. <br /> <br />(d) Day Care Facilities. <br /> <br />(e) Residential Facilities. <br /> <br />(f) Home Occupations. (See Subd. <br /> <br />419.02 Permitted Conditional Uses. <br /> <br />419.03 Accessory Uses. <br /> <br />419.04 Dimensional Regulations. <br /> <br />Subd. 1. Height. No structures or other buildings may be erected to a height <br />exceeding thirty- five (35) feet without the issuance of a Special Use Permit by <br />the City. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. Area and Width. No dwelling may be constructed or placed on a lot of <br />less than 17,500 square feet or less than 100 feet in width at the building setback <br />line. <br /> <br />Subd.3. Minimum Floor Area. The minimum building size in the R-5 District is <br />1,200 square feet. <br /> <br />Subd. 4. Special Requirements ofthe Zoning District. Comer lots in any <br />Residential Zoning District shall not have anything erected, placed, planted or <br />allowed to grow in such a manner as to materially impede sight lines between a <br /> <br />1 <br />
