Any system of wires, poles, rods, reflecting discs, <br />satellite dishes, or similar devises used for the transmission or <br />reception of electromagnetic waves external to or attached to the <br />exterior of any building. <br /> <br />Apartment. A room or suite of rooms, including bath and kitchen <br />facilities, in a multiple-family building designed for occupancy by <br />a single family. <br /> <br />Apartment, Accessory. An apartment that is secondary and <br />incidental to a principal use or building. <br /> <br />Apartment Building. A multiple dwelling designed to <br />accommodate three or more rental units. - See Dwelling, <br />Multiple, Subd. 56. <br /> <br />Area Identification Sign. A freestanding sign which identifies the <br />name of a residential subdivision, commercial or industrial <br />development. See Subd. 72, Freestanding Sign. <br /> <br />Auto Repair. Rebuilding, reconditioning, reconstructing, repairing <br />or replacing worn or damaged motor vehicle parts. <br /> <br />Automobile Service Station. See Motor Fuel Station, Subd. 107. <br /> <br />Balcony. A platform projecting from a wall of a building, <br />enclosed by a railing, and elevated at least seven (7) feet above <br />ground. <br /> <br />Basement. A portion of a building located partly or completely <br />underground, having more than 50% of its floor-to-ceiling height <br />below the average grade of the adjoining ground. Split level, split <br />entry, and earth sheltered homes shall be construed to satisfY <br />basement requirements. <br /> <br />Block. A tract of land bounded by streets or a combination of <br />streets, parks, cemeteries, railroad rights-of-way, shorelines, <br />waterways, or corporate boundary lines ofthe City. <br /> <br />Boathouse. A structure designed and used solely for the storage of <br />boats or boating equipment. <br /> <br />Boulevard. That part ofthe public right-of-way located between <br />the curb line and the property line. <br /> <br />Buffer. The use of land, topography, space, fences or landscaping <br />plantings to screen or partially screen a lot from another lot. <br /> <br />Building.
