<br />condition which would constitute a public nuisance or a dangerous condition. <br />If such a fence is allowed to become and remain in such condition of <br />disrepair, the City's building inspector is authorized to notify the owner or <br />owners of the violation and allow the owner or owners ten (l0) days in which <br />to repair of demolish the fence. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Every fence shall be constructed so that the side containing the framing <br />supports and cross pieces face the interior of the fence owner's lot. Any fence <br />which does not comply with the provisions of this Section or which endangers <br />public safety, health or welfare shall be considered a public nuisance. <br /> <br />Link fences, where permitted, shall be constructed in such a manner that the <br />barbed end is at the bottom of the fence. <br /> <br />No fences shall be allowed or constructed on street rights-of-way. Fences <br />may not be placed in or on public utility easements unless the fence owner has <br />first obtained an encroachment permit and it has been determined by the City <br />that the fence will not interfere in any way with existing underground or over <br />ground utilities. Further, the City or any utility company having authority to <br />use such easements, shall not be liable for repair or replacement of such <br />fences in the event they are moved, damaged or destroyed by virtue of the <br />lawful use of said easement. <br /> <br />B. Residential District Fences. No residential fence may exceed six (6) feet in <br />height and no decorative fence in the front yard may exceed thirty six (36) <br />inches in height. In all single and two-family residential districts, fences shall <br />have the following setback and height limitations: <br /> <br />Front Yard <br />Maximum height of four (4) feet above ground level in from of the <br />front face of the residential structure. <br /> <br />The required front yard of a comer lot shall not contain any fence that may <br />cause danger to traffic on a street or public road, by obscuring the view. <br />On comer lots, no fence higher than 36 inches shall be permitted within <br />the 50-foot intersection sight distance triangle. <br /> <br />Front Comer Side Yard <br />Maximum height of four (4) feet above ground level when placed <br />at the property line. <br />Maximum height of six (6) feet above ground level when placed <br />with a minimum setback of one (l) foot. <br /> <br />Side Yard <br />Maximum height of six (6) feet above ground level. <br />
