<br />Effective 11/23n3 <br />City of Centerville - Ordinance #6 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #6 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE MAINTAINING OF NUISANCES WITHIN THE <br />VILLAGE OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA; DEFINING NUISANCES AND <br />PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF: <br /> <br />THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF CENTERVILLE ORDAINS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. No person, firm or corporation shall cause or permit any nuisance as <br />hereinafter defined to be maintained or permitted upon private or public <br />property within the Village of Centerville, Minnesota. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Nuisance is hereby defined and constitutes the following: <br /> <br />1. Accumulation of tin cans, bottles, trash, ashes, or debris of any nature of <br />description. <br /> <br />2. The parking, keeping, placing or storing of, or the permitting of parking or <br />storage of old machinery or junk cars on public street or alley, or on any <br />private lands or premises which are owned, occupied or controlled by the one <br />so doing, or so permitting, except where such is being pursued in accordance <br />with existing zoning and the issuance of a special use permit therefore. <br /> <br />This shall also apply to anyone who shall park, keep, or place such vehicle even ifhe be not <br />the owner of the lands upon which such vehicle is parked, kept, or placed. <br /> <br />For the purpose of this section, a junk car means any motor vehicle which is not in operable <br />condition, or which is partially dismantled, or which is used for sale of parts or as a source of <br />repair of replacement parts for other vehicles, or which is kept for scrapping, dismantling, or <br />salvage of any kind, or which is not properly licensed for operation within the State of <br />Minnesota by the State of Minnesota. <br /> <br />An application for a special permit may be made by the property owner on which the vehicle <br />will be stored. The special permit can be issued by the ClerkJ Administrator if the following <br />conditions are met: <br /> <br />- There is only one non-registered/non-operable vehicle on the property. <br /> <br />Page 1 of3 <br />
