This development proposal could affect a proposed regional trail that will eventually be constructed
along the west and south side of Main Street near Centervllle Lake. This proposed trail would connect to
another proposed regional trail within the Rice Creek - Chain of Lakes Regional Park Reserve as shown on
the attached maps.

It Is hoped that Anoka County and the CIty of Centervllle will be able to construct this major Central Anoka
County Regional Trail link through the city In a cooperative effort between our agendes. The trail hopefully
will be 10' wide bituminous with a total corridor width of 30'. It appears that funding for trails within the
regional park reserve will not be available for about three to four years. It may be. possible that some of
these trail funds could be used for segments of this trail that are not Within park -boundaries. The
Metropolitan Coundl would have flnal say In this venture.

Please keep me Informed of the clty's progress In getting the trail easements for this trail corridor. I.
understand that the Anoka County Highway Department may own some of the adjacent land next to their
Right of Way near Centervllle Lake. Hopefully we will be able to coordinate a trail corridor with them.

If you have further questions, please call me at 763-767-2865.

~k you,

(-ACJv,. 6y

Ron Cox
Park Planner

RC:md

attachments

cc: John VonDeUnde, Director of Parks and Recreation
Kate Garwood, Highway Department
Tim Kytone, Glenn Rehbein Company
