A licensed organization that contributes to the ten percent fund may not be the benefldary of that fund. <br /> <br />A report must be submitted to the Gambling Control Board by March 15 of each year, using fann LG510 Citv or <br />County Annual Report. 10% Contribution Fund. <br /> <br />Trade area. <br />By ordinance, a dty or county may require that a IIcensecI organization conducting lawful gambling within Its <br />jurisdiction spend all or a portion of its lawful purpose expenditures on lawful purposes conducted or located wlthi <br />the dty's or county's trade area. Townships contiguous to a defining city were added to the definition of trade ar <br />under Minnesota Statutes 349.213, subdivision l(b) by the 2000 L~lslature. <br /> <br />The ordinance Is limited to the follOWing: <br /> <br />1. lawful 'purpose expenditures are limited to gross profits derived from lawful gambling conducted at premise <br />within the city's or county's jurisdiction <br />2. the ordinance must define the dty's or county's trade area <br />3. the ordinance must specify the percentage of lawful purpose expenditures which must be expenQed within <br />the trade area <br /> <br />The city or county does not have authority on what speclfic lawful purpose expenditures must be made.
