".

To: Parks and Recreation Committee Members
From: Kim Stephan
Date: May 31,2002
Subject: Update on Outstanding Issues

The Bonestroo Trail Map Brochures were on the April 16, 2002 EDC
Agenda to be considered as part of their next New Resident Packet No
decision was made, as the committee did not have a quorum. EDC did not
have a May meeting as it was replaced by the Business Appreciation Dinner.
This issue will be put on the June 11, 2002 Agenda. It should be noted,
however, that we currently have approximately 200 of the folders in stock
which will need to be used before reordering.

The Acorn Creek Trail repairs are still being looked into by Tom Peterson,
the City Engineer and the Developer of Clear Water Creek. The issue is not
resolved at this time. Ms. Stephan will have more information by the June 5,
2002 meeting.

We have only had one application for a Skate Park Attendant as of May 31,
2002. The deadline for receiving applications is June 7, 2002. If the Skate
Park cannot be covered by an attendant and/or volunteers at least dming the
recommended hours of 4-8 p.m. what would the committee recommend as
far as opening the park? Paul Palzer, Public Works Director has said he
needs two (2) weeks notice to open the park. Since $5,000 was approved
and 3 months of coverage at 4-8 pm. will not use all of these fimds, what
additional hours would you recommend be covered?

Goetz Landscaping has made a first payment of $1,000 for the over billing
of the trees and installation. This has been returned to the Parks and
Recreation account that it was disbursed from.

lofl
