PaJ( (651) 429-8629 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ##07-013 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />STREET IMPROVEMEENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report has been prepared by Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik " Associates <br />with reference to the improvement of Old Mill Road from a point approximately 200 feet <br />north of Revoir Street to the north city limits by installation ofwatermain, sanitary sewer, <br />street pavement, curb, storm sewer and related drainage improvements and the report was <br />received and considered by the City Council on April 11, 2007; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the report indicates that the proposed project is feasible; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCR. OF <br />CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />1. The Council will consider the improvement in accordance with the report and the <br />assessment of the benefiting property for all or a portion of the cost of the <br />improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429 at an estimsued cost of <br />$357,000. <br /> <br />2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the cjh day of <br />May, 2007, in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 6:30 p.m., and the City <br />Clerk shall give such mailed and published notice of such hearing and <br />improvement as required by law. <br /> <br />3. Mr. Mark Statz ofBonestroo and Associates is hereby designated as engineer for <br />the improvement. He shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of <br />such improvement. <br /> <br />4. The City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official <br />paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the <br />making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The <br />advertisement shall be published as required by law, shall specify the work to be <br />done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 10:00 <br />a.m. on June 8, 2007, at which time they will be publicly opened in the council <br />chambers of City Hall by the City Administrator and engineer, will then be <br />tabuJ. and will be considered by the council within 30 days of such opening. <br />Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid <br />will be given the opportunity to address the council on the issue of <br />responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City <br />
