CITY OF CENTERVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETING April 25, 2007 6:30 p.m. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly scheduled meeting on April 25, 2007, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. "'d ., .. ., .. . -, . .. .".... , , ABSENT: None STAFF: City Administrator Dallas Larson City Engineer Mark Statz CALL TO ORDER - Local Board of Appeal and Eaualization Hearin2 Mayor Capra called the April 25, 2007 Anoka County Local Board of Appeal and Equalization Hearing to order at 6:30 p.m. Ms. Crystal Huss, Appraiser, explained the 2007 assessment is for home values and not taxes. She stated an assessment was done on 44 new homes or 2.8% in 2006. She explained that the State requires that homes be revalued every five years and this is the fifth year. She commented that Centerville had an increase of 5.4% estimated market value. She explained that the State requires that assessments be between 90 and 105% of the market value; Centerville is at 94%. She commented there were 75 home sales reported in 2006. Motion bv Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Broussard, to close the Local Board of Appeal and Eaualization Heario2 public hearin2 at 7:00 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously.
