Bm has volunteered his Connmmity Service experience to <br />field train some of oW' new CSO's. <br /> <br />-, <br /> <br />Officer Aron Sandmann lived in and worked tbr the city of Circle Pines betbre being <br />hired by the police department. His knowledge of the area iostantly allowed him to be <br />effective in the community. Officer Sandmann works with Officer Jacobson on <br />monitoring and checkiug the PrecJatm:y Offenders, assists with vehicle repairs and <br />IntoxilyzerlPBT maintenance. <br /> <br />Officer JetfTamowski was hired on July 31,2006 by the department. Hehasbeengiven <br />the responsibility ofman~g the Orders of Protection, Harrassment Restraining Orders <br />and No Contact Order files. Officer Tarnowski is related by marriage to Tedd Peterson <br />ofCenterville Public Works. <br /> <br />f: <br /> <br />I , <br /> <br />'- <br /> <br />Officer Matt Giese started with the department on October 16, 2006. Matt is adjusting <br />wen to his new role and we have already delegated the responsibility of house checks to <br />him. <br /> <br />The d~ employs three part"time Community Service Officers (CSO); Britni <br />Austin. Emily Kirchner. and Datriel Cmu"in... The CSO's are very busy with ",ima.l <br />control issues, crime prevention, and ordinance violations. All three are interested in <br />future careers as police officers and I believe they will make great officers. <br /> <br />In my opinion, the depiUtment bas one of the most pleasant and dedicated office staJ1S <br />anywhere. Cindy Lewis wears many hats and assists with much of the busin~re1ated <br />work of the department. Nancy Noren is out' Records Tecnician who hanci1es every <br />report that is turned in by officers. Susan Bakke and Terri Nelson are out' part-time Data <br />Bntry Clerks who enter each report into the CoUDly-wide records system. Beyond the <br />normal work they are tasked with, they additionally answer telephones and handle <br />citizens who come to the police depw1ment mr reports, permits, impounds, and any other <br />citizen need. <br /> <br />, I <br /> <br />: r' <br /> <br />,-, <br /> <br />Ii' <br /> <br />. Both Brent and Aaron make the ~ance of our police <br />department professional and I appreciate their work. <br /> <br />The last group of people that I admire is our Reserve Ofticem. llsmtiy Erdman. PhilUp <br />mg Bill Jacobson. NBDQy Kloaner, Bill Resch and Monig;pe ~blstrom donate hundreds <br />of hours each year to assist 0111' co......uttitiflS with public safety issues.
