She stated that she would like to see a <br />commercial onterprise located at the current site. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Councilmember Paar stated that Mr. Shudy's property is the best option. He commented <br />he did not believe there is a better place in the City for the Public Works building; <br />however, he is concern with the cost. <br /> <br />Councilmember Lakso stated that she believes the Cedar Street property is the ideal site <br />and that the timing is right. <br />CouncUmember Broussard stated that it felt good in that it would be the last Public <br />Works tacility the City would need. She agreed that it is a great deal of money; however, <br />starting ftom scratd1 is not the best option. <br /> <br />city Administrator Larson explained that funding for the property and renovations could <br />come from the $400,000 in reserves and utility reserves. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked City Administrator Larson to provide payment options and a <br />purchase agreement at the next City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Shudy questioned if it was possible to deed a portion and contract the rest. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser replied that it could be an option; however, it would need to be <br />under $700,000. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra questioned Mr. Shudy about his timeline. <br /> <br />Mr. Shudy replied the option he signed expires on September 10, 2007. <br /> <br />Discuasion ensued. <br /> <br />5. Recreation Committee's Recommendation to :purchQe Four Picnic <br />~fQr 1601 '.AMntteDrive-Not~~SI0_000. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated a budget of $800 per picnic table for a total of $3,500 <br />plus shipping would purchase tables as good or better than those originally listed. <br /> <br />Page 60f 11 <br />
