CentervilIe, 9vI.!N 55038 <br />(651) 429-3232 . p~ (651) 429-8629 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUN1Y OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-024 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION IDENTIFYING THE NEED FOR FUNDING TO COMPLETE <br />ITS 2008 COMP)lE~~SIVE PLAN UPDATE AND AUTHORIZING AN <br />APPUCATION FOR GRANT FUNDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Centerville must review and update its comprehensive plans as <br />required by the "decennial: review provision of Minnesota Statutes ~73.864, Subd. 2; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on June 27, 2007 the Council adopted need-based eligibility criteria for <br />awarding available local planning program assistance and established maximum grant <br />amounts for eligible grantees to help grantees review and update their comprehensive <br />plans as required by the "decennial" review provisions of Minnesota Statutes ~73.864, <br />Subd.2;and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Grantee is an eligible city, county or town in the metropolitan area as <br />defined in Minnesota Statutes ~73.121, or is an eligible metropolitan-area city, town or <br />county acting in partnership with cities or towns and is authorized to submit a joint <br />application and execute this Agreement on behalf of the partnership or consortium. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that after appropriate ~9minetion and due <br />consideration, the governing body of the City: <br /> <br />Authorizes its City Administrator to: (I) submit on behalf of the City an application to <br />the Metropolitan Council for Local PISlnning Assistance grant funds for the decennial <br />review and update of the City's local comprehensive plan required under Minnesota <br />Statute f473.864; and (2) execute such agreements as may be necessary to implement the <br />project on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />Adopted bylbe t~~ City Council this L1-#-day of 9~ <br />2007. <br /> <br />'-1f1Q~~ <br />Mary Cap or U <br /> <br />~~~ <br /> <br />Teresa Bender, Oerk <br />
