City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 27, 2007 <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />Parks & Recreation Committee’s Recommendation to Purchase Four Picnic Tables <br />for 1601 LaMotte Drive – Not to exceed $4,000. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />6.Park Monument Signage Replacements <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson displayed a photo of the finalized park sign design. He stated <br />that the signs would cost approximately $1,500. He explained that the cost includes <br />installation but not the landscaping around the signs. He commented that he would like <br />to explore watering service options to keep these areas watered. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra recommended offering the current signs to the family or the Historical <br />Society. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve the <br />Purchase of Two Park Monument Sign Replacements not to exceed $3,500. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />1.Dead Broke Saddle Club Request for Premises Permit/Gambling Permit (Sager’s <br />Bar & Grill) – Paddlewheel, Paddlewheel w/Table, Bar Bingo, and Pull-Tabs. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra questioned how the proceeds would be spent <br /> <br />Councilmember Lee stated that the City had been denied contributions by other <br />organizations in the past; however, the Dead Broke Saddle Club has consistently <br />contributed to the City. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard, seconded by Council Member Paar, to <br />approve the Dead Broke Saddle Club Request for Premises Permit/Gambling <br />Permit (Sager’s Bar & Grill) – Paddlewheel, Paddlewheel w/Table, Bar Bingo, and <br />Pull-Tabsbased on the approvals of all entities. All in favor. Motion carried <br /> <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2.Resolution #07-022 – Authorizing a Loan Between Funds – 1601 LaMotte Park <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson explained that this resolution would finance the improvements <br />to the park over several years. He stated that it presumes there would be on-going park <br />dedication fees to provide revenue. <br /> <br />Page 7 of 11 <br />
