This work is being done at the City's expense. The work will <br />occur between September 5 and October 19,2007. The sidewalk panels that are being <br />replaced are marked with paint. The contractor will leave a written notice at your door <br />the day before he starts work in front of your property. <br /> <br />In some cases the sidewalk panels are at driveway entrances. We require that you not <br />drive across the new cement for five days after it is completed. It is important that the <br />concrete attain full strength before it is subjected to vehicle traffic. Please remind <br />everyone in your household, so no mistakes are made in this regard. <br /> <br />If you have an automatic sprinkler system, please make sure that your system doesn't <br />run for 12 hours after the sidewalk is installed. If the new sidewalks are damaged by <br />vehicle traffic or water sprinklers, they will be replaced at the property owner's <br />expense. During the construction, the police will not enforce the "no overnight <br />parking" on your street. <br /> <br />If you have landscaping, sprinkler heads, invisible fences or similar items in the right- <br />of-way, we will do our best to protect them, if they are marked, but in any event the <br />City will not pay to replace or repair these items. <br /> <br />We appreciate your cooperation in getting this work done in order to keep our <br />sidewalks safe.
