Project Schedule The following is a rough schedule for the project: Feasibility Report Presented to Council Public Open House Revisions to Feasibility Report Accept Feasibility Report Preliminary Survey Improvement Hearing Plans and Specs Easements, Permits Finalize Plans Receive Bids Assessment Hearing Award Contract Begin Construction Complete Construction Water Service Hook-up Deadline* September12, 2007 October 4, 2007 October 2007 November 14, 2007 November/December 2007 January 2007 January - March 2008 April- July 2008 July 2008 September 2008 October 2008 November 2008 Spring 2009 Fall 2009 Fall 2010 * Assumes water service hook-ups are not part of the project and are the responsibility of the individual homeowner. Conclusions and Recommendations It is the finding of this study that the proposed improvements are necessary, feasible and cost effective. The following steps are recommended: . Hold an informal Public Open House to introduce the project to the public. . Adopt this report as the guide for development of the proposed improvements. · Hold a Public Improvement Hearing. . Order the preparation of plans and specifications. · Take bids. . Hold an Assessment Hearing . Install the public utilities and streets, with construction anticipated to be completed in 2009. If the City feels that the proposed improvements are too much to undertake in one year due to budgetary constraints, it is recommended that the improvements be split. The logical way to separate the proposed improvements would be in to two projects. The first would involve the reconstruction of all roads needing water main, to be constructed in 2009.
