City of Centerville Council Meeting Minutes August 22, 2007 Discussion ensued. Motion by Mayor Capra, seconded by Council Member Broussard. to approve the Final Report and Reconciliation of the 2007 Parade Bud2et as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. VIII. NEW BUSINESS 1. Resident Request for Reimbursement of Tree and Brush Removal Mayor Capra stated that several residents requested she add this to the agenda. She explained that before answers were received from Anoka County, some residents had trees and brush removed at their own expense. She recommended that the City not reimburse these residents. Councilmember Lee commented that the City found a solution quickly and the residents should have been more patient. Discussion ensued Motion by Council Member Lakso. seconded by Council Member Lee. to deny the request for Reimbursement of Expenses Incurred by Residents for Tree and Brush Removal. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. 2. Proposed Water Supply Emergencies Ordinance Amendment City Administrator Larson summarized that the City would eventually need a water emergency plan which would establish procedures to impose water use reduction measures. He stated that this ordinance sets in motion what Council previously approved relative to water use and reduction measures. Discussion ensued. Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Paar. to approve Ordinance #19, Second Series, an Ordinance Amendin2 Chapter 51 of the Centerville City Code by Amendin2 Section 51.09 Relatin2 to Municipal Water Service. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. 3 . Wellhead Protection Plan a. Set Public Hearing b. Start Public Notification Period City Administrator Larson directed Council members to the Wellhead Protection Plan (WHP). He suggested that Council schedule a public hearing for November 14, 2007 and direct that the WHP draft be forwarded to concerned local and state agencies. He Page 4 of8
