<br />The outdoor recreational habits in the metropolitan area have been growing steadily. <br />From 1995. to 2005, recreational visits to Anoka County regional parks and trails <br />increased by 60%. <br /> <br />According to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources 2004 Outdoor. <br />Recreation Participation Survey of Minnesotans, nearly 82% indicated that outdoor <br />recreation is "very important" or "moderately important" in their liVes.
