<br /> <br />181O!MtdnStt'en. ~ 9tJ!NSS4J8 <br />6S1-4Z9-J2J2 or'FtI3(.6S1-4Z9-8629 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUDON ##07-0 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE DEVEWPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION <br />01' THE EAST ALIGNMENT OF THE <br />CENTRAL ANon COUNTY REGIONAL TRAIL CORRIDOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County is pursuing the development of a mu1ti-purpose <br />regional trail system that would link local and state trail systems, regional parks, and <br />provide safe and convenient routes for non--motorized traffic to traverse the County, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in 1996, the Metropolitan Council adopted a Regional Trails Policy <br />Amendment to its Regional Recreation Open Space Developmem GuidelinesIPolicy Plan <br />for the implementation of corridors which provide access to high quality natural <br />resources, regional parks, park reserves, and local areas of interest, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the east alignment of the Central Anolea County Regional Trail <br />Corridor would link together the cities of Blaine, Lino Lakes and CenterviIle to the Bast <br />Anoka County Regional Trail and the proposed Bald Eagle/Chain of Lakes Regional <br />Trail, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Central Anoka County Regional Trail Corridor is strategically <br />located to provide immediate pedestrian access to the recreational resources at Rice <br />Creek Chain of Lakes Park: Reserve, Wargo Nature Center, the Rice Creek and LaMotte <br />Park. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City ofCenterville hereby offers its <br />support to AIloka County in the effort to coopelati~ely develop the CentralAnoka <br />County Regional Trail Corridor. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the CenterviIle City Council this 24th day of October, 2007. <br /> <br />Mary Capra, Mayor <br /> <br />d1 <br />
