<br />Cooperator(s): Minnesota Department of Health and Anoka County Environmental <br />Services. <br /> <br />Time Frame: 5 years from the approval of the plan. <br /> <br />Estimated Cost: ($0.20 per parcel within DWSMA) <br /> <br />Goal Achieved: <br />(1) Completion of the investigation and actions initiated. <br />(2) Completion of notification to property owners. <br />(3) Completion of public meeting. <br />(4) Incorporation of probable well sites into City parcel files. <br /> <br />B. Monitor Well Construction <br />Objective: Cooperate with the MDH Well Management Program to monitor and maintain <br />accurate records of the construction of wells within the City. This project will improve the <br />location accuracy of constructed wells by having a local official verify the location <br />information submitted by the licensed well contractor. <br /> <br />Actions: <br />(1) The City Wellhead Protection Plan Manager will request the MDH to provide a copy of <br />reports for new well construction in the City. The City will place the copy into the <br />building official's file for the parcel. If information regarding the location of the well is <br />insufficient to determine the parcel location - the City will notify the MDH and request <br />that they follow up with the licensed well contractor to obtain sufficient information. <br />(2) The City Building Official will place the copy of the well record in the parcel file which is <br />reviewed when application is made for building permits or lot development. <br />(3) The City Utilities Department will require owners of buildings that switch from a private <br />well to City water submit a copy of the well sealing report within 6 months. If the well <br />remains in use the property owner must submit a statement of the intended use of the <br />'vvell. This is an ongoing project without a date for completion. <br /> <br />III. CONTAMINANT SOURCES <br /> <br />A. Potential Contaminant Source Inventory (PCSI) <br />Objective: Track the extent of potential contaminant sources located inside the City's <br />vulnerable DWSMA.
