Request to Extend Completion Date on Public Works Building to December 27, <br />2007 <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported that the building is being remodeled to the <br />specifications of City Council and the developer requests an extension to compete the <br />project as the recent rains caused delays. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee. seconded by Council Member Broussard. to <br />approve the Request to Extend Completion Date on Public Works Buildine: to <br />December 27.2007. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />4. Resolution #07-039 - Rescheduling the $2,600,000 G.O. Improvement Bond, <br />Series 2007 A Bid Opening Date <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported that Resolution would provide additional time for <br />Finance Director Meyer to prepare the sale of the bonds. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard. seconded by Council Member Lakso. to <br />approve Resolution #07-039. a Resolution Rescheduline: the $2.600.000 General <br />Oblie:ation Improvement Bond. Series 2007 A Bid Openine: Date. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. Resolution #07-040 - Authorizing the CLPD to Enter Into a Grant Agreement <br />with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety for Safe <br />& Sober Communities <br /> <br />Councilmember Broussard questioned whether this obligated the City to match funds. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson replied that it did not. He explained this is a way to adopt it <br />without a special meeting of the joint powers Governing Board and provides funding for <br />the safe and sober program. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee. seconded by Council Member Lakso to approve <br />Resolution #07-040. a Resolution Authorizine: the Centennial Lakes Police <br />Department to Enter Into a Grant Ae:reement with the Minnesota Department of <br />Public Safety. Office of Traffic Safety for Safe & Sober Communities. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Sergeant Aldrich briefed the City Council and audience on the Safe and Sober Program. <br />He stated every city in the county is part of the three year grant. He indicated 123 seat <br />belt citations were made in one week.
