<br />City of Centerville <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />October 2, 2007 <br /> <br />JOINT COUNCIL/PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION WORK SESSION <br /> <br />Mayor Capra called the Joint Council/Planning and Zoning Commission Work Session to order <br />at 7:35 p.m. Present were Chair Brian Hanson, Commissioners Mark Pangell and Thomas <br />Wood. Also present was Administrator Dallas Larson. <br /> <br />Council Members Present: Mayor Capra, Council Members Broussard, Lakso and Lee. <br /> <br />IX. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />ALTERNATIVES REVIEW <br /> <br />AMENDMENT <br /> <br />REVIEW/LAND <br /> <br />USE <br /> <br />1. Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Brendon Slotterback, Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates, presented the <br />comprehensive plan update on land use alternatives. He explained that the goals and <br />policies provided a vision of what Centerville would be when the plan is fully <br />implemented. He stated that alternatives were developed based on those goals, existing <br />conditions, and input from City staff. <br /> <br />Mr. Slotterback discussed the residential goals, the existing land use plan, the concept of <br />average density, and alternatives for residential land use. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Consensus reached on areas A, B, C, D - changed to high density and to include a portion <br />ofE, E as a new zoning district, F, and G. <br /> <br />Ms. Tina Goodroad, Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates, presented the <br />commercial goals, projected Lino Lakes land use plans along the Centerville boarder, and <br />the rationale to change area G to commercial. <br /> <br />Ms. Goodroad discussed the next steps which include developing a draft final alternative <br />incorporating City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission input, prepare all work <br />to date on boards and other displays for the open house, hold the open house on <br />November 13, 2007 (4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.), and collect input using a worksheet and <br />survey tools. <br /> <br />Consensus reached to extend area G to include the triangle comer below areaG with the <br />creek as the natural boundary and to notify the property owners in the affected areas. <br /> <br />x.
