<br />City of Centerville <br />January 12, 2005 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />4. Resolution #05-004 - Signators Main Street Bank & Smith Barney <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Lakso to approve Resolution #05-004 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />5. Community Festival (MAPCA) <br /> <br />Mayor Capra reviewed the letter she received concerning training for people involved <br />with planning community festivals and asked for authorization to forward it to the Lions. <br /> <br />Council agreed. <br /> <br />6. Jackson Commercial <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson explained that Jackson Commercial has asked for a reduction in their letter <br />of credit and he recommends approval of a reduction in the amount of $91,000 as the <br />water main and sanitary sewer work has been completed. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Lee <br />to approve a $91,000 reduction in the letter of credit for Jackson Commercial based <br />on the recommendation of the City En2ineer. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />7. Appointment of Council Member to Participate in Oral Boards <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated he would like to participate. Council agreed. <br /> <br />8. Staff Working Remotely <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that this matter has been brought up because there are employees <br />that work on City business from home and they do not have the software on their home <br />computers. She then asked Council to consider whether to allow the remote work and to <br />authorize software licenses for those home computers that utilize the same software as <br />the City. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated that she is concerned with the security of <br />private City information once it leaves City Hall. <br /> <br />Council discussed the matter and asked Staff to determine what types of information are <br />being taken home and how that information would be protected while working remotely. <br />Council also discussed the temporary flexible schedule of the Finance Director and <br />agreed that Council would not like to go beyond September with the current flexible <br />situation. <br /> <br />Page 4 of7 <br />
