<br />City of Centerville <br />January 12, 2005 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />2. All Committees/Commission Meeting February 2, 2005 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that she would like the Council to meet with all committees and <br />commissions on February 2,2005. <br /> <br />Council agreed and set the date. Council asked Staff to notify committee/commission <br />members by email of the meeting and ask that they attend. <br /> <br />3. Parks & Recreation Committee Update <br /> <br />Council Member Lakso indicated that there are openings on the Commission and then <br />outlined the dates for upcoming skate nights. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that the Cub Scouts would be providing hot chocolate and cookies <br />for the skate on January 14,2005. <br /> <br />4. 1540 Peltier Lake Drive <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated that he has the signed application by Mr. Palzer and would <br />attempt to make plans to gain entry to the home next week. <br /> <br />5. St. Paul Water Utilities/City of Centerville Meeting to Discuss Purchase <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated there is a meeting scheduled for January 18, 2005 to <br />further discuss the matter. <br /> <br />6. 500,000 Water Tower <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson indicated that it has been determined that there is not a need for a <br />containment system for painting the water tower and he recommends Council acceptance <br />of a deduction for that system in the amount of $48,000. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers <br />to approve the deduction for the elimination of the containment system as <br />recommended by the City En2ineer. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. Waste Management CPI <br /> <br />Ms. Bender indicated that the contract allows Waste Management to increase rates by the <br />CPI and this letter informs the City they intend to do so. <br /> <br />8. Eagle Pass Pond <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated she checked with Rice Creek Watershed District and they intend <br />to dredge the pond next week. <br /> <br />Page 6 of7 <br />
