CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />1. Roll Call <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson Amundsen called the November 7, 2007 Parks & Recreation Committee <br />Meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. <br /> <br />II. SET AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion was made by Committee Member Selander, seconded by Committee Member <br />Harris, to set the November 7, 2007 Parks & Recreation Committee Agenda as is. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />In. APPEARANCES <br /> <br />Mr. Dallas Lanon & Mr. Paul Palzer -Tracie McBride Memorial Park Renovation <br /> <br />Mr. Dallas Larson reported that he and Mr. Patzer had investigated the questions that were raised <br />by the Parks & Recreation Committee at the last meeting. As to the question of whether or not <br />sand can be used as fall protection, the answer is yes. Secondly, as to whether the existing <br />playground equipment can be rehabilitated, the answer is also yes. Mr. Larson presented a report <br />indicating the costs associated with a rehabilitation of the existing equipment compared to <br />installing a completely new playground.
