CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br /> October 24, 2007 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their work session meeting <br />on October 24, 2007, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />Mayor Mary Capra <br /> Council Member Tom Lee (left at 9:45 p.m.) <br /> Council Member Michelle Lakso <br /> Council Member Linda Broussard <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br />Council Member Jeff Paar <br /> <br />STAFF: <br />City Administrator Dallas Larson <br /> City Attorney Kurt Glaser <br />City Engineer Mark Statz <br />Public Works Director Paul Palzer <br />Finance Director John Meyer <br /> <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Capra convened the October 24, 2007, City Council Work Session at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />II. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1. Mr. Darrin Mosher Request for Appointment to Planning & Zoning Commission <br /> and Resignation from Parks & Recreation Committee <br /> <br />Council briefly interviewed Planning & Zoning Commission candidate Mr. Darrin <br />Mosher. Mr. Mosher stated that he had applied for a previous Planning & Zoning <br />vacancy approximately one year ago and at that time, Council appointed him to the Parks <br />& Recreation Committee. Mr. Mosher stated that with several vacancies at this time, he <br />would like to be reconsidered for a Planning & Zoning Commission vacancy and resign <br />from the Parks & Recreation Committee. Mr. Mosher stated that he felt that he had <br />served the City well on the Parks & Recreation Committee; however his true desire was <br />to serve the community on Planning and Zoning where he felt he was more qualified. <br /> <br />Council thanked Mr. Mosher for the opportunity to meet with him, consider his <br />qualifications and his commitment to the community. <br /> <br />III. CONVENE TO REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> Mayor Capra convened to the regularly schedule Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />
