City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 24, 2007 <br /> <br />Sergeant Aldridge replied that he did not have the statistics. He commented the officers <br />of the City of Centerville participated in several community events. He reported on <br />violations in the City of Centerville over the past month. He commented that a home <br />security program is under development by the CSO. <br /> <br /> <br />6.Resolution #07-041 – Confirming Special Assessment on Improvements to <br />Fairview Street <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported this project should be completed soon. He reported <br />the assessment amounts are very close to the estimate. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard, to <br />approve Resolution #07-041, a Resolution Confirming Special Assessment on <br />Improvements to Fairview Street. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br /> <br />1.City Administrator Larson – (No report.) <br /> <br /> <br />2.Red Cross/CPR <br /> <br />Councilmember Lakso reported that on November 3, 2007 from 8:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., <br />the Red Cross would provide CPR training at St. Genevieve’s at a cost of $45. She <br />instructed interested parties to contact the Red Cross if interested. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Police Commission Report <br /> <br />Councilmember Lee reported that the Police Commission is moving forward with <br />community awareness training and funding to help officers become community oriented. <br /> <br />4. Appointments: <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that two individuals applied for the positions on the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to <br />appoint Mr. Darrin Mosher to the Planning and Zoning Commission and accept his <br />resignation from the Parks and Recreation Committee. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that the second candidate would be interviewed prior to the next <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />Page 4 of 5 <br />
