<br />Mayor Wilharber confirmed Centerville's position to provide utility services to the two Lino <br />Lakes properties on Mill Road. Mr. Peterson understood that Mr. Powell (Lino Lakes Engineer) <br />plans to meet with the two property owners and then begin the process. Mayor Wilharber warned <br />that the soil types north of Mound Trail may challenge the integrity of the road. <br /> <br />Councilmember Buckbee moved to approve the final plat for Buechler Estates - the <br />grading. drainage. utility and development contract with the Attorneys noted changes. <br />Mayor Wilharber seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Councilmember Brenner stressed the desire to change the $25,000 park dedication fees to <br />$50,000. Councilmember Buckbee explained that the decision was made at a prior meeting. Mr. <br />Hoeft explained the Developer likely has moved forward, having been informed that the park fees <br />would not exceed $25,000. Mr. March commented, recently he received a letter indicating that <br />Cities may be restricted to impose park fees that supersedes $900 per lot. <br /> <br />Buckbee - Wilharber - Sweeney - aye. Motion carried. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Council Pay <br />Councilmember Buckbee moved to implement Council and the Mayoral pay at $75 and <br />$125 per Council meeting. respectively. Councilmember Brenner seconded the motion. <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber disagreed and noted that the Council is required to attend several meetings <br />outside of Council meetings and should be paid the set monthly amount. Councilmember <br />Buckbee argued that it is not fair to the citizens when Council members do not show up, but still <br />get paid, stating that higher attendance may have made a difference with the Buechler Estates <br />park dedication fees. <br /> <br />Buckbee. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mill Road Water Connection(s) (7231 Mill Road) <br />Mr. March explained that a resident is requesting to connect to the municipal water system at <br />7231 Mill Road. This property is adjacent to a watermain that was installed in previous years. <br />There is no curb-stop to this property. Mr. March referred to an estimate from Ro-So contracting <br />to install a curb-stop at this location. The cost to the City for this item is $2350. Mr. March <br />suggested treating this property per the current policy, that the property owner would be assessed <br />the current rate of $1,741.23 and additional $1300 water connection (WAC) charge. <br />Furthermore, the policy in 1993 was $2500 per unit along Mill Road which would have covered <br />both the WAC and assessment amount.
