<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22, 1998 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Centerville held its <br />regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, April 22, 1998 at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Tom Wilharber <br />Council Members: Theresa Brenner <br />Sanna Buckbee <br />Laura Powers <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Helmbrecht <br /> <br />STAFF/CONSULTANTS: Jim March <br />Ry-Chel Gaustad <br />Paul Palzer <br />Dave Nyberg <br />****************************************************************************** <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING (S) <br /> <br />Board of Review - Anoka County Assessor Todd Smith <br />Mayor Wilharber opened the Board of Review public hearing at 6:06 p.m. Mr. Todd Smith <br />(Anoka County Assessor) was present to conduct the Board of Review hearing. <br />Mr. Smith distributed 1998 assessments and payable 1999 statistics for the City of Centerville <br />(See Exhibit A). Mr. Smith explained six residents contacted the assessors' office with questions <br />regarding their market value. Each individual had all their market value questions resolved before <br />the local board of review met. Hearing no market value questions from the audience, the Council <br />elected to keep the hearing open while discussing other agenda items. <br /> <br />Parkview Development Proposed Public Improvement Assessment <br />Mr. Nyberg gave a brief overview of the proposed Parkview development and its proposed <br />assessments. Furthermore, there are two twelve inch watermain alignment extension alternatives. <br />Alternative one directs the watermain north of the Parkview development and loops the <br />watermain to the hydrant at the Senior Housing complex. Alternative two directs the watermain <br />south to Center Street for future development. Mr. Nyberg noted the developer will pay 50% of <br />the trunk watermain cost. <br /> <br />1 <br />
