This item will be discussed at the regular scheduled City Council meeting on <br />March 24, 1999. <br /> <br />5. UNIFORM HOUSING CODE (UHC) <br /> <br />The UHC was adopted a few months ago, there are some residents properties that could <br />be used for testing out the UHC. Mr. March stated that staff needs to know the level of <br />enforcement that the Council wants staff to pursue. After a long and detailed discussion <br />the Council agreed to check with other cities that currently use the UHC to establish a <br />"Board of Appeals". The Council also agreed that a policy should be established for staff <br />to follow, complaints should be investigated and ordinances should be enforced. The <br />UHC will be an agenda item for the regular scheduled meeting on March 24, 1999. <br /> <br />Mr. Bill LaLonde of 1687 Westview Street was present and voiced an ongoing complaint <br />about a neighbor that resides on the comer ofCentervi1le Road and Westview Street. <br />This property will be investigated after the UHC Board of Appeals is determined and staff <br />procedures are developed. <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL INFORl'\1A TION: <br /> <br />Ordinance #4 <br />Mr. March stated that Dean Johnson would like to meet with the City Council on April <br />14, 1999 at 5:00 p.m. This workshop would take place before the regular scheduled City <br />Council meeting at 6:00 p.m. The Planning and Zoning Committee will be invited to <br />attend this workshop, since Mr. Johnson is not able to attend the April Planning and <br /> <br />6 <br />
