<br />Water Connection for 7289 Mill Road <br /> <br />Mr. March stated that a building permit has been received for building a home at 7289 Mill Road. <br />Water is currently not available in this area but that a quotation has been received from Ro~So <br />Contracting, Inc. in the amount of$3,575.00 for providing service to the property by tapping into <br />a hydrant located near the property. He also informed Council that this area was included as an <br />alternate in a past project, but it was decided not to construct at the time. <br /> <br />After considerable discussion. a motion by Council member Broussard Vickers. seconded <br />by Council member Sweeney to allow the individual to connect to the water main by borin2 <br />under the street usinJZ an approved contractor. subject to Public Works inspection and that <br />the individual. within the contract it be noted that they wiD be held responsible for the <br />future assessment to be determined at the time water main is installed in the area minus the <br />cost of the service. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Investment Seminar <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber informed the Council that a request has been received by Todd Hassel, a <br />resident, to hold an investment seminar at City Hall. <br /> <br />Mr. March stated the building has been used by the school district, but that the issue would be <br />that this would be for a for~profit organization rather than a non-profit. <br /> <br />Motion by Council member Travis. seconded by Council member Sweeney to table this <br />request until the next meetin2 to have staft'prepare a rental a2reement for Council review. <br /> <br />Lino Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br />Council member Travis informed Council that the EDC recommends that the City become a <br />member of the Lino Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />Council directed staff to contact the Chamber and invite them to make a presentation to Council <br />at their next meeting. <br /> <br />Public Works Building <br /> <br />Mr. March stated that at the Council's workshop it was the consensus of Council to proceed with <br />the appraisal process for the Eagle Trucking site and that a formal action needs to be taken. <br />There was discussion about contacting Mr. Huber to discuss developing a Letter of <br />Understanding so that he would not sell the property while the City was investigating the <br />possibility of purchasing the site for the Public Works facility. <br /> <br />Motion by Council member Travis. seconded by Councilmember Sweeney authorizin2 the <br />appraisal of the Ea~le Truckin~ site and directin2 staft'to contact Ea21e Truckin2 <br />re2ardin2 a Letter of Understandin2.
