<br />City Council Meeting Minutes of June 5, 1996 <br /> <br />Ms. Helmbrecht questioned the legality of pumping water from the <br />creek. Both Mr. Nyberg and Mr. Fogerty stated that it is. <br /> <br />One added note of Mr. Nyberg was that U. S. West is no longer <br />planning to put their wires underground and that residents should <br />call the company and complain. <br /> <br />Theresa Brenner arrived at 7:20 p.m. <br /> <br />INFLOW/INFILTRATION GRANT APPLICATION <br /> <br />Mr. March said that he has reviewed the application that was <br />submitted in 1993 for the same purpose. Along with the application <br />MSA had conducted a study that basically stated it was not cost <br />effective to correct the manholes at that time. Mr. March stated <br />there was no information in the report that showed where <br />Centerville ranked. Mr. March stated that the application should <br />still go in for 1996 since Centerville is shown as being 13 on a <br />list of 104. <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />MOTION by Powers-Rasmussen, second by Helmbrecht to approve <br />resolution 96-21, a resolution authorizing application for grant <br />from Metropolitan Waste Control Commission regarding the <br />elimination of Inflow/Infiltration. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />TRANSIENT LICENSE FEE <br /> <br />Ms. Helmbrecht reported that Todd Smith and received a transient <br />license from the city for a concession stand to be operated during <br />the garage sale days. Because of some mishaps beyond his control <br />Mr. Smith did not receive power until late in the day and therefore <br />sales were low. <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, second by Powers-Rasmussen to refund Mr. Smith's <br />fee for the transient license. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VACATION OF ROW EASEMENT <br /> <br />The city received a petition from two property owners, Theodore <br />Erkenbrack, 7377 Peltier Circle and William Dornseif, 1783 Peltier <br />Lake Drive requesting that the right of way (ROW) easement be <br />vacated since the Mill Road had been vacated. <br /> <br />The reasons for the request as per their letter dated May 30, 1996, <br />"This area has presented some problems in that it is difficult for <br />the property owners to control the public wandering through private <br />property destroying trees, leaving refuse, and distrubing wildlife <br />present in the area. It is difficult also for property owners on <br />both sides of the area to determine their actual property <br />boundaries.
