<br />City ofCenterville City Council Meeting October 9, 1996 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />amendment to the ordinance would have to be published two consecutive weeks. Brenner <br />suggested the Mayor position be paid at $275.00 a month. Wilharber declined the <br />additional increase and suggested leaving the increase at $225.00. <br /> <br />MOTION by Wilharber, seconded by Brenner to increase council wages to $150.00 per <br />month and Mayor to $225.00 per month. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Newsletter - Helmbrecht commented she had given Gaustad her additions. Brenner stated <br />the same. <br /> <br />MOTION by Helmbrecht, seconded by Brenner to approve the Newsletter. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Abdo - Abdo & Eick - Approve Audit proposal for the 1996 books <br /> <br />MOTION by Helmbrecht, seconded by Brenner to have staff enter in agreement with <br />Abdo -Abdo & Eick as indicated in the letter dated September 25, 1996. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Recycling budget - Wilharber passed out a recycling budget from Randy any questions <br />should be directed to Laura as she is the Liaison. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Planning and Zoning Committee - Wilharber reported P&Z is looking for a new member <br />to sit on the Planning and Zoning committee. <br /> <br />Police Commission Meeting - Wilharber reported he would be in attendance at the Police <br />Commission Meeting Thursday, October 10th. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRA TOR REPORTS: <br />March informed the council of the letter sent to Anoka County Humane Society <br />terminating the animal control contract. Another letter was sent to Otter Lake indicating, <br />effective November 1 of this year, the City will be using their services. <br /> <br />March reported a letter was sent to Anoka County Highway Department regarding the <br />flashing lights by the school, they should be getting back to us soon. <br /> <br />Wilharber reported the Committee who bought play ground equipment will be setting it <br />up on Saturday morning at 8:00 AM. at the Centerville School, volunteers are need if <br />anyone is interested. <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />MOTION by Brenner, seconded by Helmbrecht to approve the consent agenda.
