<br />City Council Meeting of September 11, 1996 <br /> <br />Special use permit - Steve Gaustad of Integrity Systems, requested a special use permit. <br /> <br />for light industrial use in a commercial zoning, located at 1725 Main Street. Wilharber <br />asked the hours of operation. Mr. Gaustad stated, mostly day time hours and an <br />occasional night or two. Wilharber asked if there would be fumes. Gaustad replied no. <br /> <br />MOTION by Brenner, seconded by Helmbrecht to grant the Special Use Permit for light <br />industrial use in a commercial zoning. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />City Sign - Bill Bisek was present to address questions regarding the city sign. Wilharber <br />asked about the additional $1,000.00 request from Danell. Bisek stated the funds were <br />requested to cover additional cost for landscaping and timber beams. Bisek drew a design <br />reflecting the landscaping which would enable staff to step up to change the information <br />on the sign. Bisek & Tim Rehbine estimated $2,000. for the posts and landscaping. <br />Brenner asked if this was in addition to the original cost of$3,600.00. Bisek said yes. <br /> <br />MOTION by Helmbrecht, seconded by Brenner to approve an additional $1,000.00 <br />toward the city's sign and landscaping. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Joint Meeting - Wilharber reminded the council there would be a joint meeting with all the <br />board and committee members on September 25, at 6:00 p.rn. Dean Johnson from <br />Resource Strategies, will discuss the City's Comprehensive Plan <br /> <br />Approval of Election Judges - <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Helmbrecht to approve: <br />Joan LaMott, Joyce Dupre, Lavern Peterson, Shirley Drewlow, Mary Jane Lang, Marilyn <br />Erkenbrack, Rosemary Barret, Mary Ann Thill and Judy Almendinger as Election Judges. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Levy Resolution - Resolution Approving Proposed Preliminary Levy Certification of <br />$426,920.00 to Anoka County. <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Brenner to approve the levy Certification for 1997 <br />budget. Motion carried unanimously. Wilharber noted the Public Hearing for the budget <br />has been set for December 11, 1996 at 6:00 p.m., and if necessary a continuation hearing <br />date of December 18, 1996. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Brenner stated EDC will be addressing the Wall of Fame on October 9, 1996 at 5:30 p.rn. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Police Committee - Wilharber stated he will be attending the Police Committee meeting on <br />September 12, which he will address patrolling around the elementary school in the <br />morrungs. <br /> <br />6 <br />
