<br />~ <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />AUGUST 28, 1996 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Centerville held <br />their regular meeting on August 28, 1996 at the City Hall. Mayor Wilharber called the <br />public hearing to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENT:Wilharber <br />Brenner <br />Buckbee <br /> <br />ABSENT: Helmbrecht <br />Powers-Rasmussen <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Brenner to approve the corrected minutes of August <br />14, 1996. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SET AGENDA: <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Add Economic Development Committee report <br />Fire truck location <br />Trash hauling contract with United Waste <br />Bow hunting <br />Truth and Taxation dates <br />John Magill - Noise permit <br />Announce Council and Mayor seat available <br /> <br />MOTION by Wilharber, seconded by Brenner to approve the August 28, 1996 agenda <br />with the above amendments. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PAYMENT OF CLAIMS: <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Brenner to approve the City of Centerville's receipts <br />and disbursements dated August 2-28, 1996. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />Park lighting - March summarized a letter from Paul Palzer regarding the lighting at <br />Laurie Lamotte and Tracie McBride Parks. March continued, NSP could install a new <br />power pole and mount a 250 watt with directional lighting to light up pleasure rink and <br />building area. Also a 250 watt directional light to be installed on the existing pole, on the <br />south side of the park. The Park and Recreation committee believe this may be a cost <br />effective improvement for the park areas. <br /> <br />CC8-28MM.WPS <br /> <br />1 <br />
